Notes

Abstract:
This podcast contains a roundtable discussion with two current members of the sports media (The Daily Gazette's Mark McGuire and Bleacher Report's Tyler Dunne) and one former sports writer who has entered academia as a professor (SUNY Oswego's Dr. Brian Moritz). The four of us discuss the impact of social media on the perception of athletes by reporters and fans. We also discuss the impact on press coverage and fan-athlete interactions.

General Note:
As a reporter and aspiring sports journalist, I am looking to learn more about the changing landscape of sports coverage on and off the field. The more I know, the better I can report on the area where I am located. Each athletes and those surrounding sports in a community have a story to be told. I strive to bring these narratives to light and highlight the good in my community.
