Abstract:
This project plan describes the research and implementation plan for developing the SUNY Oswego Digital Library (OswegoDL), a searchable digital library. The OswegoDL enables the College to make access to historical resources in the Special Collections archives and scholarly and creative work of our faculty and students more publically open and available, which may contribute to recruitment and retention of both faculty and students. Timing for this database development is partly in response to interest of some faculty and the Provost to have a digital repository to capture and showcase work by students. It also enables the library to effectively make Past Perfect records held more broadly accessible.
