Abstract:
Monkeys show an innate ability at problem solving. This can be seen across many species, New World and Old World. This study focuses on five different monkeys and their ability to manipulate and solve six different latches to access a novel food item. Three guenon species and two capuchin species were tested three times with a thirty-minute trial run. Each species, age group, and monkey group displayed different abilities of completing the enrichment. ( , )
